This is a more padded version of the classic Cloudsurfer from On’s range. Its build mixes Cloud mesh and top Helion foam to make a bendy shoe that helps keep natural foot roll. The first and most monstrous of the max-cushioned shoes in the On lineup. Its construction uses large “mesh” of the Cloud system and a polypropylene Speedboard plate, which adds a bit of stiffness and dynamics. Compared to the Cloudeclipse model, the Cloudmonster is the slightly “faster” one. In my opinion, it also has better cushioning. Cloudsurfer is the most versatile shoe from On, which is the brand’s “daily trainer” lineup, i.e., a universal running shoe with very good cushioning and balanced other parameters. Similar in construction to the Cloudeclipse, with a row of diagonal “mesh” panels, it makes for a comfortable ride during both easy and faster runs.
