It is a Swiss brand from the foothills of the Alps – that’s how they describe themselves. It is a very fresh brand on the market, as it was established in 2010 and produced its first running shoes in 2012. It has long been associated with triathlon, which is not surprising considering that one of its founders was a triathlete. Today, it is expanding its presence to other sports. The lineup of running shoes is also expanding every year.
Traditionally, it is worth starting with a division of shoes depending on the surface you plan to run on:

On Cloudmonster 2

The first and most monstrous of the max-cushioned shoes in the On lineup. Its construction uses large “mesh” of the Cloud system and a polypropylene Speedboard plate, which adds a bit of stiffness and dynamics. Compared to the Cloudeclipse model, the Cloudmonster is the slightly “faster” one. In my opinion, it also has better cushioning. This shoe stands out with its monstrous level of cushioning and softness, making it the perfect choice for the heaviest runners and those looking for a shoe to comfortably and gracefully conquer running trails.
- Stack height: 35/29 mm
- Drop: 6 mm
- Weight: 295 g men’s, 230 g women’s
- Regular price: 180 EUR
On Cloudeclipse

The second model from On with maximum cushioning is the Cloudeclipse, which stands out due to the absence of a Speedboard in its construction. This makes it more flexible underfoot compared to the Cloudmonster 2, although at the expense of slightly less stability in the rear of the shoe. The diagonal arrangement of the Cloud system’s “mesh” makes the midsole roll more smoothly, and combined with the softness of the Helion foam, makes the Cloudeclipse one of the most comfortable On models. This shoe is ideal for those who value softness as well as heavier runners—even those weighing around 100 kilograms will feel confident and secure in it.
- Stack height: 37/31 mm
- Drop: 6 mm
- Weight: 285 g men’s, 240 g women’s
- Regular price: 190 EUR
On Cloudsurfer 7

Cloudsurfer is the most versatile shoe from On, which is the brand’s “daily trainer” lineup, i.e., a universal running shoe with very good cushioning and balanced other parameters. It is perfect for runners weighing up to about 90 kg. Similar in construction to the Cloudeclipse, with a row of diagonal “mesh” panels, it makes for a comfortable ride during both easy and faster runs. It is one of the most popular options in the On lineup.
- Stack height: 37/27 mm
- Drop: 10 mm
- Weight: 245 g men’s, 205 g women’s
- Regular price: 170 EUR
On Cloudstratus 3

The younger, or more precisely, slightly less cushioned brother of the Cloudmonster. With a nylon Speedboard in the midsole for better dynamics but with slightly more balanced cushioning. Designed for runners weighing up to about 90 kilograms who are looking for a shoe for everyday training. Also for those who expect a pinch of dynamics from a soft training shoe.
- Stack height: 32/26 mm
- Drop: 6 mm
- Weight: 290 g men’s, 250 g women’s
- Regular price: 190 EUR
On Cloudflyer 5

One of two shoes from the stability category in the On lineup. This one is better cushioned and designed for slightly heavier runners (up to 90 kilograms) who are also looking for dynamics, which is provided by the Speedboard made of TPU. The stability it offers is quite subtle and very versatile. It is a good choice for people with slight overpronation, but also for those who are simply looking for very stable On shoes.
- Stack height: 37/31 mm
- Drop: 11 mm
- Weight: 300 g men’s, 257 g women’s
- Regular price: 180 EUR
On Cloudswift 3

The third of the main models of On training shoes, belonging to the category of neutral footwear focused on cushioning and dynamics, is Cloudswift 3. It is distinguished by solid cushioning provided by a midsole made in classic Cloud technology with a Speedboard plate made of TPU. This shoe is especially recommended for runners weighing around 80 kilograms. Thanks to its attractive price and satisfactory parameters, it is also an interesting option for those who are just starting their adventure with running.
- Stack height: 33/28 mm
- Drop: 6 mm
- Weight: 263 g men’s, 220 g women’s
- Regular price: 170 EUR
On Cloudgo

Cloudgo is probably the simplest construction in the brand’s lineup. With good cushioning and a classic Speedboard TPU plate. It will work well for runners who treat running more as a recreational activity and weigh no more than 80-85 kilograms.
- Stack height: 30/19 mm
- Drop: 11 mm
- Weight: 256 g men’s, 214 g women’s
- Regular price: 160 EUR
On Cloudrunner 2

The Cloudrunner is for people looking for their first “serious” running shoes with stability. It’s a model with cushioning comparable to the Cloudswift and Cloudgo, but it offers more stability. It’s mainly for overpronators who want support and stability. Stability is ensured by increased heel support, which means that, like the Cloudflyer, it can also be used by people with neutral feet. It is the optimal choice in terms of softness for people weighing up to about 80 kilograms.
- Stack height: 31/21 mm
- Drop: 10 mm
- Weight: 290 g men’s, 230 g women’s
- Regular price: 160 EUR
On Cloudflow 4

The most streamlined training shoe from On. It has the lowest midsole profile, which translates into less cushioning but more dynamics and ground feel. The nylon Speedboard is responsible for the dynamics. You won’t find much softness here, but those looking for a lively and slightly “raw” shoe will be satisfied. There are fewer and fewer shoes of this type on the market.
- Stack height: 32/24 mm
- Drop: 8 mm
- Weight: 235 g men’s, 200 g women’s
- Regular price: 170 EUR
On Cloudmonster Hyper

The Cloudmonster Hyper, like its classic counterpart, has been designed for running on hard surfaces, offering maximum cushioning. It is intended for long-distance runners, people with a higher body weight (over 90 kilograms) or those looking for exceptional softness and protection. At the same time, this model also has features that promote faster running, and the midsole features highly responsive and “fast” Helion HF foam. This makes it the right shoe for both easy running and more dynamic runs.
- Stack height: 37.5/31.5 mm
- Drop: 6 mm
- Weight: 270 g men’s, 210 g women’s
- Regular price: 230 EUR
On Cloudboom Strike

Cloudboom Strike is one of the fastest running shoes in the On lineup, designed for maximum performance. They feature a minimal Cloud system, plenty of responsive Helion HF foam, and a carbon fiber Speedboard for a dynamic bounce and optimal performance while running. These shoes also feature an ultra-light upper made from 100% recycled polyester, giving them a lightweight feel and an almost “paper-like” appearance. Designed for the fastest runners, they are ideal for competitions ranging from 5 km to marathons, helping to improve pace and performance.
- Stack height: 39.5/35.5 mm
- Drop: 4 mm
- Weight: 215 g men’s, 188 g women’s
- Regular price: 280 EUR

On Cloudsurfer Trail

The Cloudsurfer Trail is the twin of the asphalt model. It differs from it with a slightly stronger and more durable upper construction and an outsole with a slightly higher ankle. Although this shoe is classified as a trail shoe, it can be said that it is a shoe for people who run half and half in the city and on light terrain (parks, main forest roads). It makes for a comfortable and cushioned ride on streets and sidewalks, while offering satisfactory traction on trails.
- Stack height: 37/30 mm
- Drop: 7 mm
- Regular price: 170 EUR
On Cloudultra 2

Cloudultra is a shoe designed for running on difficult terrain, especially in the mountains. It is mainly intended for hard trails with stones, gravel and roots. Unfortunately, it will not work well in mud. It also offers a high level of cushioning and isolation from the ground. As the name suggests, it is ideal for long distances and ultra runs, but it should be remembered that this is a shoe with balanced rather than maximum cushioning.
- Drop: 8 mm
- Weight: 295 g men’s, 265 g women’s
- Regular price: 190 EUR
On Cloudvista 2

It Cloudvista is a shoe designed for moderate trail running – on gravel, in the forest and wherever good grip is important. It also offers moderate cushioning, which means that those who seek confidence and stability while running, but prefer a good feel for the ground, will be more satisfied.
- Drop: 7 mm
- Weight: 280 g men’s, 235 g women’s
- Regular price: 160 EUR
On Cloudventure

Cloudventure is a proposal for people who run on slightly more technical and even muddy terrain. This model has a significantly larger outsole than previous trail shoes to ensure a smooth and comfortable run on difficult and rocky terrain.
- Drop: 6 mm
- Weight: 310 g men’s, 250g women’s
- Regular price: 180 EUR
On Cloudventure Peak

The lightest trail running shoes from On. Designed for advanced runners to ensure maximum agility and dynamics on the trail. Offers a precise fit and a secure feel on the ground. The lightweight base is complemented by an equally lightweight yet durable upper.
- Drop: 4 mm
- Weight: 260 g men’s, 210 g women’s
- Regular price: 170 EUR
